Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ytick (the "Platform"), operated by Ytick ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who can use Ytick

Ytick is available to candidates, students, and recruiters who are at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to enter a binding agreement). Recruiter accounts are subject to additional verification and approval before posting roles or unlocking candidate profiles.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering, including your CV/resume content and job preferences.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

3. What the Platform does

Ytick uses AI to analyse the gap between your current resume/skills and a target job role, and provides tools including (but not limited to) skill gap analysis, resume enhancement suggestions, cover letter generation, application answer banks, ATS scoring, skills testing, salary intelligence, career path suggestions, an application tracker, and recommendations for third-party learning courses. Candidates can also access these tools via our browser extension and mobile app.

For students, Ytick provides career exploration and guidance features, including career suggestions, role insights, learning roadmaps and pathways, flashcards generated from curriculum you provide, quizzes, and study games.

For recruiters, Ytick provides candidate search, matching, shortlisting, review request and review tools, job posting, identity verification (including via LinkedIn), and earnings/payout features where paid reviews are used.

AI-generated content is a starting point, not a guarantee. Suggestions for resume wording, cover letters, skill gap assessments, ATS scores, career paths, and student guidance are generated by AI models and may contain inaccuracies. Third-party job listings, salary data, and course recommendations are provided by external sources and are not guaranteed to be accurate, current, or available. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before using it in a real job application or decision.

4. Subscriptions, payments, and coupons

  • Some features require a paid subscription (monthly or annual) or a one-time payment (e.g. resume review). Current pricing is shown on the relevant upgrade page before you pay.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Coupon codes are subject to their own validity window, redemption limits, and eligibility rules, and may be withdrawn or expired without notice.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once a service (e.g. a resume review) has been delivered or a subscription period has begun.

5. Recruiter obligations

Recruiters may only use candidate information accessed through the Platform for legitimate recruitment purposes related to a specific role. Recruiters must not scrape, export, resell, or share candidate data outside the Platform, and must comply with applicable employment and data protection law when contacting candidates.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload false, misleading, or someone else's CV/resume or identity information.
  • Use the Platform to discriminate against candidates on any legally protected basis.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Platform's AI systems, security, or infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools to create accounts, submit applications, or extract data at scale without our written permission.

7. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, code, and the Ytick name and logo, is our property or licensed to us. You retain ownership of the CV/resume content and other material you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a licence to process it (including via third-party AI providers) solely to provide the Platform's features to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that AI-generated suggestions will result in a job offer, that ATS scores reflect any specific employer's actual ATS system, or that salary intelligence data is fully accurate or current. We are not a recruitment agency and do not guarantee employment outcomes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ytick is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including reliance on AI-generated content or job application outcomes.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the Platform or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
